Is Gyeon Glass cleaner ok for aftermarket tinted windows?

I have Formula1 ceramic tint on all my vehicles. Gyeon glass cleaner is currently my favorite (it doesn`t streak for me), however there is no mention by the manufacturer as to if it can be used on window tint or not. Does anyone know?

It’s good to be careful. Meguires window cleaner is not tint safe. I don’t know if Gyeon is tint safe, but I would not use it until I found out for sure. Most of the ones that are tint safe say so.

The only Meguiars product I really use is their new Ultimate All Wheel cleaner. That’s crazy that they don’t have a tint safe cleaner. Thanks for that info rimcarty2000. You learn something new everyday.

As far as Gyeon Q2M glass cleaner. Gyeon says it safe on all glass surfaces and is coating safe. We use this and Crystal glass cleaner at the shop for years and have never had any problem. Contact Gyeon and ask them.

IMO we oughta have a sticky about "Aftermarket Tint-Safe Glass Cleaners". I gather that most apparently are OK these days, but it wasn`t all that long ago that you had to be really careful.

D120 and Perfect Clarity are both tint safe. Used D120 on my personal tinted windows and the tint is still intact. My brother used Perfect Clarity on his and again no issues.

Thanks for the clarity Guz. Why would you think D120 is not tint safe? It is about as basic of an auto specific glass cleaner you can get (also happens to work great).

Aw man, every time I see a reference to D120 I think of the sample Bill D gifted me all those years ago, which is still sitting unused on the shelf :o
