Is DACP more of a PC polish then Rotary?

I tried DACP with the rotary a couple times and ended up with a gummy mess and didn't accomplish anything but muking up my pads, then went to IP and had no issues. I wanted to know is DACP more of a PC polish, or is it just finiky? Bad batch? Tips?

We use almost a gallon per week. It is our 'goto' product, because of its durabilty.

Maybe wander over to Meguiarsonline.com and see what they have to say...

Good Luck.

Thanks for the replies, I will try using less but I'm still wondering if it is more of a PC polish than a Rotary polish. Mr. Buffit, (like the name) do you use it with a Rotary? and what do you mean about DACP's durabilty?

I was at a Meg's Detail Clinic recently , and , according to Mike Phillips , DACP is the limit of what you should use with a PC. Anything more aggressive should be applied via rotary.

So , in short , yes, DACP is more suitable for the PC.

i too find it gums up with a rotary,, but never had a problem with a PC.

i'm guessing the heat a rotary generates has a lot to do with its breakdown...

next time i'm going to try it, i'll slow it down, lighten up a bit, and use a little less.

With the PC DACP gums up if you use too much (or when the pad gets saturated, change it or wipe/squeeze it out part way through) or if it's too hot out (direct sunlight and/or dark, hot car). I'm guessing the rotary just exacerbates those problems.
