Ceramics in general are not body-shop safe, including our CMX ceramic products.
However, CMX Surface Prep, which does not contain ceramic ingredients, is safe for body shop use. CMX Surface Prep removes waxes, oils, polishing residue and fillers prior to applying a wax, sealant or ceramic. Being safe for body shop use, it can be helpful prior to painting, or during the defect removal stage for inspection on your progress by removing residue that may be hiding scratches.

It’s not bad. It smells good. It does take a little longer for it to flash off. Some of the other prep wipes are still stronger. In a pinch it would do fine.
