Is Clay Safe on Black?

My brother in-law has a year old black truck. He's hesitant to try clay for fear of it scratching. I've been raving about claying since I found out about this past summer, but don't want to give him bad advice. Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Clay is safe on any color. Just be sure to keep the clay kneeded and it doesn't have any contaminants imbedded in it that could cause a scratch, but the clay itself is very safe. You should only have to clay once or twice a year.:)

For darker color vehicles, I usally recommend getting a "fine" clay. It is usually the least abrasive. A good place to get them from is Dwayne @ PAC. :)

Yes, clay is safe for black. Just wash it first to make sure nothing abrasive is on the paint and keep the clay kneaded. Use a good clay lube also. You will be set and he will be impressed.

He means to wash the car first, not wash the clay :)
