Hey guys I am getting ready to do a full detail on my black car here is what i was going to do wash, clay,mequires swirl free polish, platinum paint cleaner, platinum paint protection. my question is 1. since I am polishing the car with the swirl free polish(which is I think a 3 on Meg's abrasivness scale) should I not clay? I would imagine that anything the clay would remove would be removed with the polish if I opted not to clay. 2. should i also cut out the paint cleaner before the paint protection? I know platinum can be temperamental, but i would think that the paint would be pretty clean and ready to bond after the polish. I'm not looking to take shortcuts at the cost of results, but if i can save an hour of nonbeneficial work, then I'll do it.
