Hi folks, as per thread title, is anyone still using Polycharger?

It was very hyped when it was launched, now that the hype has died down, I'm wondering if anyone still uses it on a regular basis.

i used to use it for QDs but now I use Ultima WWP and it comes Polycharged! So to answer your question, Not anymore.

Thanks Dr Oldz, I'm thinking whether it would extend the durability of Duragloss 105 Total Performance Polish over Duragloss 601 Polish Bonding Agent.

I get a maximum of 3 months durability of that combo over here in Malaysia, if Polycharging it would double its durability, it'll be great for my customers' cars.

I just buy products that already have the polycharger in them.

Do these last longer than adding polycharger? I heard adding polycharger to a product hurts its shelf life, but BFWD is polycharged in the production. Should I worry about my BFWD going bad?

I have used Polycharger several times and will continue to use it. I have only use the CH2 version for traditional sealants and it works as advertised.

Yes, it extends the durability. One of my favorite sealants on metallics is Mothers FX. The durability without poluycharger is usually 8 weeks or so but with polycharger it is about 2x. The application process is simple since it hazes as you apply it and I plan to reduce the dosing slightly so it spreads a little easier. It reminds me of how BF spreads -- minimal buffing.

I don't think using the additive will hurt the shelf life. I am working directly with the manufacturer on a project currently and they have never mentioned that to me. PFC will be at my detail bash this weekend so I will ask them and let you know. I am sure there are no longevety issues with the pre polycharged products.

I use it with detail sprays. There are so many sealants that already have it in it now.

I definitely find it extending the durability of products I use it with.

Thanks Garry. Let us know what they say!:yourrock

I've never used it but I've been courious how well it works. I've used Ultima products which are polycharged but that's all. I currently have some Blackfire Wet Diamond but haven't tried it yet.

Pat does the polycharged cause the QD to streak or does it keep the same properties as before?

I have never found the need to desire to use Polycharger... I like to detail my car to much. The only time I would consider it is during the harsh winters up here in the North.

Thanks for all the replies! Guess I need to have a go at this myself to find out if it will double the durability in our weather here.
