I know I have read numerous threads about accepting credit cards and such. I'm a fairly new detailer in Atlanta and started off with Intuits GoPayment. They had fairly low fees and just a $20/month plan. Square was also up and coming at the time and I signed up for their free service as well. I waited for about 3-4 months for my free Square card reader. Once I recieved my Square reader I scaled back from using GoPayment..I'd only use it for when I key in card info as it's cheaper w/ GoPayment.
Anyway, I stayed with Square due to it's simplicity. Well..Intuit is now challenging Square with a new service. Below is the link to to check out. Hope this helps some of you w/ your decisions on what merchant account to go with. I'll probably just sign up for both and use the "lower volume" service with intuit for now and if I go over 1k. I'll just use Square unless paying the high volume $12.95 w/ GoPayment is justifiable.
