Interior plastic trim cleaner?

Hi Guys,

I have had my new Lexus GX470 about a month now and will soon be detailing and applying Zaino. I have managed to already get quite a few scuff marks on the ivory colored interior plastic trim pieces. The marks appear black and I have tried removing them with Vinylex and 409 but neither seemed to work. I have tried the search function but that did not yield any direct answers. So, I ask the gurus here at Autopia, which interior plastic trim cleaner do you recommend.

I have since detailed the 996TT with Zaino Z5x1 and Z2x1 and am very happy with the results. Here's a link to some pics.

Thanks in advance for the advice,

Bill

Who carries it?

I have a black plastic threshold on the drivers side that is driving me nuts due to scuffs. It's about 6 inches wide and I'm thinking of a light compound/polish with a PC to try to buff them out...

Tried various plastic cleaners / polish that is used for the plastic window on rag tops...but still does not get them out...

Any ideas...

We were able to remove all but one scuff mark on Bill's Lexus with Meguiars #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner. The one that we couldn't remove was on a surface with a rough texture. The towel we used wasn't able to reach down to the surface far enough.

Bill - have you tried using a toothbrush? Also, you are right... there is a #39 (Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner).

You know, when you kick the door. I have black plastic, and it makes white scuff marks. I will try this stoners xenit. Since everyone seems to think it is the best.

Stoner Xenit for me as well... for scuffs... For vinyl dash cleaning, nothing works faster for me than Stoner's Trim Clean.... :)

Isn't Stoners just another citrus cleaner, like all those orange cleaners at auto stores and super markets?
