interior leather cleaning

I have a 2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo with heated and ventilated seats. They have little holes to allow for the ventilation. I have 2 questions.



1) How to clean the holes? There is a build up of some dirt/etc. in some of the holes. What would be the best method? I bought some Meguiar's gold class leather wipes but that does not do too well. This wipe leads into my other question.



2) What is a good leather cleaner/protector that does not leave the leather feeling greasy or slippery? The ones above leave a greasy feeling. Also, a good option would be one that I can use on all the interior surfaces, not just leather.

303 protectant works on vinyl, rubber, leather, plastic.

HD protect similar to 303



HD total will clean pretty good. Try using it with tooth brush for your perforated holes

I'm looking for a better cleaner. How do you use the Swissvax cleaner? Do you use the Swissvax Leather Brush with it? Do you also use Swissvax Leather Cleaner Forte ?

Hmm, so you'd recommend a product you don't have much experience with?



To the OP, Leather Masters produces a fantastic cleaner, softener/conditioner, and protectant. They all leave a matte OEM look and have no lingering smell.

+1 for Leather Masters, use a sponge to clean, if more cleaning is needed step up to a brush, I use one that was original manufactured as a nail brush.
 
I highly recommend and use Leatherique. Works great on Porsche seats !

Use a brush to get the holes, and the Rejuvenator Oil will not clog them up again !

I use the 303 Protectant on everything else on the inside.

Another long term (15+ years) LM user. It's the best product I've found.
 
I'd use Leather Masters cleaner through a foamer and try gently scrubbing the vent holes with the foam and soft brush.

Awesome results David!!! I've been using LM for a while I don't think that I've gotten that good of a result. How are you cleaning? I use strong cleaner with a sponge to foam and sometime a brush to follow. Any tips?
 
Thanks! I think using a foamer is important as this product works well in a foamy state. I then gently scrub/agitate the product into the grain of the finish >> Wipe >> Blow with Compressed Air >> clean water rinse. I really love having the US distributer right around the corner from me here in Florida. Try ordering the product directly from them to cut out the middle man and deal with the people who really know leather and how to clean it! UNITERS North America, LLC - Welcome

We tend to use the Swissvax leather cleaner for leatehr that isn't that dirty and yes we use the Swissvax Leather Cleaner Forte also and use that on leather that is more older. The leather brush we do use, one guy also goes over with a cloth after using the brush too, but each to their own.
 
Great job on the Porsche seats, David! I have the same color leather in my Cayman S and have been extremely happy with Zaino Leather Care and Cleaner.

David Fermani- Well, you're not help then...I want some fancy *DETAILER'S* foamer, not one of those girly things I have in our bathrooms ;)



I wonder about that aerosol version, that might be a bit extreme for functionality, though I can imagine some good applications for it.
