Interior Flat Dressing Suggestions

Brenton

aka PEI Detail
I am good on paint but far from an expert on the interior. Yet I keep getting these cars with flat, pourous, or muted finishes on the dash. The products I'm using take a lot of buffing to look nice without streaking.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this particular situation? I'm happy with what I've got for sharper, shinier vinyl & plastic, just searching for more options for flat.

I'd especially like opinions from those who know what I'm talking about. :-p

Just use the shiney stuff and wipe off the excess with a mf or a damp mf. No sense of buying more products when you can use whatchya got arleady.

If you are using a water based product, dilute it a bit with water.
Also, maybe see if your cousin can make a flat dressing.
If you wanted to buy one that isn't very shiny, you may want to try VRT. Fairly expensive, though.

I do believe that you are talking about the BMWs and a Acura TSX type of finish. I have had great luck with leather cleaners and conditions. Not a real glossy look but a nice matte finish.

I never thought of that, I'll give it a try. I'ts showing up more and more, and is hard to keep clean and have a nice solid finish, but sharp when done.

For my BMW dash, it's either VRT or natural look for me-both give matte look, been alternating between them and the dash still looks new despite the car being 3 years old  :w00t:

My favorite product for all is PB's Natural Look. I use it at full strength but can be diluted for your needs or different apps...
