Interior Detail

I spent about eight hours today doing a badly needed interior detail on a blazer.

First, I vacuumed the interior. Then I wet cleaned the carpet using an Oreck Steemer carpet cleaner. I meant to take some pics of the carpet stains, but forgot. Luckly they all came out, and I didn't have a second chance.

Here are a couple before pics:

Next, I mixed a little Gold Class shampoo and water in a bucket. Using this solution, I cleaned all of the interior, except for the leather. Man, that is some nasty water!

Here is a shot of the driver side carpet. The interior and leather have not been done in this shot.

After the wipe down and scrub, comes the leather. I used Lexol on the seats and doors. Glass and dressing followed. I used Stoners IG and Meguiars #40.

Here are some after shots:

blazer interiors suck to detail....... especially that backseat area as you have to "squeeze" thru the doorway where the seats stick out so far.....

is that a stickshift I see?? I never knew they made any 4-door blazers with stickshifts......

mine's a 98 so I have the slightly revised interior style (the dash is different, as are the headrests) and exterior style (mainly the rear bumper and front headlights)

but mine's that same color combo....... they do look nice indeed....

good work! :xyxthumbs

SLP,

It is an automatic, the selector is just mounted in the center console, not on the column. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that is one of the changes when you get the electronics group with the compass, temp, ect.

I dunno...... does yours have this group?? I know mine does but the shifter is on the column......

however all the GMC Jimmys/Envoys, Bravadas, or other s-truck SUV's I've seen have the console mounted shifter.....

Yes, this one has the electronics group and a sunroof. It may just be a plain old option. To be honest, I didn't really pay attention when it was purchased. I do prefer the shifter in the console though, personal preference I guess.
