Interior cloth uphostery- mildew

DaGonz

Autopia fire/rescue.
I'm detailing a 1986 Porsche 944 that sat covered in a barn for three years. The paint is original and in good condition. The interior has a few spots of mildrew on the cloth upholstery inserts and on the seatbelts. Other than that, the interior just needs a good vacuuming.

I don't want to ue anything that can damage the seatbelts, I want to go as mild as possible with the cleaner.

I do have a bottle of Arm and Hammer Clean Shower soap scum and mildew preventer.. that's pretyy mild, and I'll use it (first trying it out on an inconspicous spot) if I have to.

Any suggestions for alternatives?

Thanks in advance... DaGonz

I ended up uisng the Arm and Hammmer stuff, as nobody in the area carried bac-out.

It did work.. the mildew is gone!

The job is ending up being a two day affair... I had to take one of my dogs for an emergency visit to the vet with an eye problem (scratched cornea, he couldn't open the eyes, and when he did it was redder than a Guards Red Porsche!).

He has to wear a Elizabethan collar around his head to prevent him from scratching..looks like he's waering a negaphone! :chuckle:

The owner of the 944 had no problem with me keeping the car, as he doesn't need it until Sunday.

Glad your product worked and I hope the pooch is doing better :chuckle:

BTW, I can sometimes find Biokleen products at the local natural, whole food grocery store in the cleaning aisle.
