I was browsing the net, minding my own business. I saw this quote in reference to the new 205 "Its the real deal..Best polish ever made...Bar none" That quote was from someone affiliated with Meguiars for what thats worth..I guess the "hype" has begun! Are you going to try it?

Sounds familiar... Where have I seen this before? :getdown I tried it... and I agree!

There's some definite hype going on over on MOL. Will it be as good of a polish as M105 is a compound? I would say there's a good chance. I'm looking forward to trying it.

If it will do what others claim it can do, it should be nice polish for people just starting machine polishing (that includes me). Only time will show.

That's my Kevin, not afraid to step up and lay claim to his beliefs! :woot2: (lol)

As for the OP, I don't know if you can really call it "hype" as much as simply being justified anticipation. When some of the guys that have tested and reported on this stuff say the things they have said, affiliated or not, you would have to be crazy not to realize this stuff will be the real deal.

That's my take at least. I hope to have a bottle in my hands next week at the latest. I'll let you know how it works out for me :waxing:

It's out? I thought this was a 2009 product with the usual end-of-January availability?

I read somewhere on MOL that it should be shipping mid-late December...I guess check the usual suspects around that time frame for availability.

Yeah, I'll wait until a few of our resident myth-busters have given it their seal of approval.

I somehow don't see this as being as big an advancement as the M105 was...there are a lot of nice medium/finishing polishes out there already :nixweiss

Exactly.

It's got it's work cut out for it if it's gonna unseat UF. I pour UF over my Corn Flakes.

So if i understand this correctly, you could do m105 then m205 and have lsp ready paint? What could this product be compared to? OP, 106ff, ect.. ?

Although I will agree that I don't think it will be quite as ground breaking as M105 was (let's face it, M105 is literally a game changer), but it is not just another medium or fine polish. M205 is a game changer as well because like M105, it crosses boundaries...it cuts like a medium polish, and finishes like an ultra fine polish.

So, like M105 which cuts like an ultra compound but finishes like a refined medium polish, M205 does something similar...effectively turning 2 steps into one.

Now, for me at least, I am looking at the prospect of being able to 2-step 95%+ of my full corrections- saving me time, and making me money. :woohoo:

Before M205 there were times when I needed to first use something like M86 or SIP to remove holograms from M105, and THEN finish with UF...apparently, not anymore :2thumbs:
