I wonder when these pics were taken. I got a tour on March 27th, and they 599 Fiorano hadn't been on the V12 assembly line but a few weeks. I am surprised they were able to get these pics, because they don't let you take anything into the factory. There was a local italian on the tour with us, and he broke out his camera phone several times and took pics in between phone calls. It is quite an amazing experience I must say!!! The pic with the "orange peel" on the car, is in the final area, where it is completely inspected, and prepared to be taken out on a long road test. I can't remember how many km they drive it, but they REALLY test them. First they are tested on the factory grounds, then they are taken to the track, then they leave out the back gate, and hit the back country roads. When they get back, they just park them outside in the line of cars waiting to be hand washed and detailed. Everyone should visit the Ferrari factory atleast once in their lifetime, because it is just amazing!!
