Informal Get Together - March

I have talked to a few people and I think we will have an informal get together (you know, the monthly meets are SO formal) in the next few weeks. I am thinking a Sunday afternoon...and definitely NOT the 12th. Does anyone have any date suggestions?

Entertainment will be provided by Bryan who plans to show us his stamp collection.

Location will be determined based on where people are coming from. I am guessing it will be around Roswell.

26th would be best for me, at least for now. I might be able to make the 19th but not sure yet.

I don't have a truck and trailer as the stamp collection won't fit in any car.

26th it is. If no one else chimes in, we can pick a place between Mike and me. (sorry Bryan, we are not coming down to Newnan to eat at Shoneys)

I think they closed the Shoneys down here. I hear its still going strong in your hood. Thats is we are moving.

Count me in. Can we make it somewhere off of a major highway? Is Three Dollar Cafe still there off of I 75 in Marietta?

I would be game for moving it that way if that is ok with everyone else. Would Windy Hill or Towne Center be better?

Locations to consider....

1) Bogeys - great sportsbar in Towne Lake

2) Paradise Grille - sportsbar over at Piedemont and Shallowford by Lassiter High School

3) Smokey Bones - right off interstate at Towne Center mall (afternoon traffic here can be bad)

4) Slapshots - Hockey themed restaurant at Towne Lake

5) Texas Roadhouse - right off 575.

5) Others?

We need to make a decision pretty soon.

Being that it is all of 1.5 minutes from my house I'll vote for the Paradise Grill. It's actually the intersection of Sandy Plains and Shallowford.

Just as a heads up, I *may* have to bail on this one. I have some furniture being delivered on Sunday and depending on what window they give me I may need to be around. I am hoping to talk to them today and get an idea of when they expect to come.

Let's go ahead and plan on Paradise grille otherwise.

I can't seem to find this place in google or any city guide. Any directions or phone number?? What time do we plan on meeting?

Thanks!

mav63 / Harry-

Paradise Grille it is. Mike sent me directions, let me dig them up.

-----

From 75 Exit 267A (Canton Road/Hwy. 5...first turn off of Exit
on to Sandy Plains Rd....~6 miles North...left hand side in Publix shopping plaza after Shallowford intersection. From 400...92 west...left onto Sandy Plains...about ~3 miles on right hand side.

Harry-if you want to head over that way together I am game for that.

I was thinking maybe 4:00? Any other times better?
