Infiniti EX35-first use of HD Speed

2008 Infiniti EX35. Sits outside 24/7 and is usually covered in sap. Really needs some correction but not worth it to the owner since it sits outside all the time but he did want some protection. My son and I had a little more than two hours to get it washed and sealed so I figured a product with the name "speed" in it should help! We finished with about 15 minutes to spare.

A few comments about HD Speed. It does have some correction ability, about on the level with Optimum Poli-Seal or Detailer's Pride Poli-Coat. It really isn't going to remove anything other than very light defects or light to moderate paint transfers but it seems to work very well as a finishing polish and sealant in one. Comes off every easily, didn't notice any oily smearing. Very slick, look is more carnauba-like than I was expecting but IMO, that's a good thing.

On yeah, ONR wash and Armor All on tire/fenderwells on the Excursion in the background.

ONR wash (went over horizontal areas twice due to heavy sap accumulation) and Opti-Raser clay sponge

HD Speed using a white LC polishing pad and my PC 7424 XP on speeds 5-6

Armor All on tires/fenderwells

I think if you give SPEED a chance (time) it will correct better than you would expect. Of course if time is short, not even 101 will level.

The detail, as always, looks fantastic. :bow

Scott, I'm so glad you bought a new camera. That old one didn't capture the quality of your work.

Great job and I can't wait to try SPEED. I was hoping to use it tomorrow and I still may, but I picked up an extra shift at work for some overtime. Ah well.

Chris - $$$ making comes first. SPEED is so good, it will wait for you. :D:D:D:D:D

It is not going anywhere.

Did you see the short thread I put up about SPEED?

I've been trying to catch your threads lately as I've been very impressed with your work.

$$$ making is good as it allows me to buy more product! Thankfully the guys at HD were kind enough to give out samples so that will allow my conscience to buy some Poxy with the saved money.

I'll try a firmer polishing pad the next time and see how that goes.

Glad I have a new camera too, the other one had a dark spot in the center that not only put it in the pictures but was throwing the light meter off. This one has a much larger range of exposure options and I'm able to see on the screen which one matches how the car really looks. :)

Scott, looks great! Paint looks pretty good in the pictures, how much correction does it need?

Needs a little less now. ;)

I think OHP or D300 with a microfiber cutting pad would do the trick, after all, it is Infiniti black paint.

I have always admired your work but with your old camera I could see your pictures but with your new camera I only get the box with the red X i it. Is there someway I can access these pictures?
