Inernet Connection

I finally got around to getting an internet connection in the Garage. My garage is about 50 feet from the house. I was hoping to dig a trench someday. A computer hobbyist friend donates stuff to me. I now have a wireless router in the house. And I'm sending this post from the garage. It's a work in progress out here. Mostly free stuff. No matching cabinets or painted floor. I will post pics when it is more "presentable".

"Honey, if you need me I'll be out in the garage";)

update.

Somehow, I toasted the motherboard on the first "garage pc". Life is good with a "computer guy" around. He had a spare laptop and wireless USB adapter he was testing. Now they're mine for awhile. This is much better than the first one. He is going to set me up with a new garage pc. Until then, this laptop is, how shall I say, "The Cat's ***"

Check w/ your electric company and see if/when they will be offering broadband. Laugh if you want but its true. Electric comapnies are no getting in the broadband game and will be offering speeds comparable(about 100 compared to dsl's 128) to dsl at a fraction of the cost. Best part is no cat 5 rins or wireless routers needed...jsut plug the modem in a electrical outlet..cool huh?
