impressed by DG 521 Marine Detailer

I heard on this board from Al-53 that the DG guys told him their Marine line of products is like their normal products but a little more concentrated and have some extra protection added. Plus, their marine detail talks about anti-static properties and I like a detailer that isn't a sticky dust magnet.

I bought a bottle of their Marine Detail (#521) today and it was the best detailer I've used in terms of slickness and shine. Admittedly I've only tried around 7 or so detailer sprays but this one is really nice. Worth trying if you get a chance. Thanks to Al-53 for the heads up.

update: I applied this product last night in the late afternoon and it looked great. This morning while driving to work with the sun glaring through my winshield I saw some streaking on the glass. When I got to work I got out to wipe off the glass better and found a couple of other spots on the paint when in direct sunlight that I had missed last night. These spots were in the last couple of areas I did and my towel was pretty moist from the detail spray (and thus didn't wife off completely). I would recommend that if you use this product to make sure you don't overdo it or perhaps use one dry towel to accompany your wiping towel. Otherwise you could get some streaking.

Tha marine line is pretty nice stuff...Te 501 polish is one strong AIO type product..it smells like a chemical and cleans paint super nice...

When doing the QD I uae 2 towels..a wipe on towel and wipe off towel..then after I am done I do one more quick wipe down...

I found the Marine detailer a step up from the FC&S....very slick and nice gloss....and cleans pretty good....

I have been playing with the 501 polish...the Marine protectant...the Detailer..and the shampoo....all have been pretty impressive so far....

The 501 is real nice...it may replace my 101....will not layer by any means....its a super cleaner and very slick after and great gloss....

501 done with a 5" blue CCS pad and PC..the rest of the truck was done by hand...to hot wanted to get done...

I just saw the DG 521 at my local parts shop down here at the beach. I should have picked up a bottle.

My neighbor is entering his Mustang in a car show tomorrow. I walked the bottle of Marine detail over to him this evening and he reluctantly took it from me and told me he'd try it on a portion of the car tomorrow after he gets parked. I think he is going to owe me one! I cannot emphasize how much this stuff will make your paint pop.
