I love DuraGloss... damn near everything they put out is great. However I think we got the wool pulled over when the big hyped kicked up that 105 was the "best". I tried 111 for the first time this weekend and WOW!!!

Here is a fresh coat of 105 with AW...

My winter wheels... it's cute, right?

2 coats of 111

The pic with 105 was taken in perfect near sunset lighting and it still is no where near the depth, gloss, and wetness of the 111 on a cloudy day. In fact I just took that pic about an hour ago and it's raining again.

Run out and buy the 111. Fin.

105 and 111 provide a total different look.. which one is better is very subjective

In my usage:

111 provides an extremely glossy "sealant" look while 105 provides a "best of both worlds" look = a great gloss and a tad bit of nuba characteristics

I see a BIG problem with those winter wheels!!! Where I live you can get arrested for driving around with your nuts exposed.

I've been using DG105 and unimpressed with the looks....love the durability. My black with 105 looks about the same as your first picture. Clean, but no wow.

The 111 looks incredible. It's amazing the difference in gloss versus 105. I'll definitely be picking up 111 when my 105 is gone (hopefully soon). Was there much difference with the second coat of 111 versus just one coat (regarding looks)? I usually am only able to apply one coat when I do cars for other people, so I'd like to know if it looks that good with only one coat.

Another plus is that "Bumper to Bumper" in my area carries Duragloss products, but not 105 and not AW (can't get them either they say <makes no sense). They do carry 111 though so that would be convenient.

I think those winter wheels are pretty cool by the way.

Where do you live? The only way you can get arrested around here for driving around with your nuts exposed is if you take off you pants and hang them out the window...

The two pictures are different completely different lighting, so not much can be inferred other than 105 looks different in the fading orange sunset than 111 on a cloudy day with more pure white light. I'm interested to try out 111 at some point, though.

Very good point about the two pictures/different lighting. Being into photography, I know how much lighting can change a picture's look. That said, I still plan to try 111 as well. Nothing changes the fact that 105 lacked in the looks department for me and I plan to "test" 111 personally.

I use 105 as a base but like the 111 on top . I've been saying this for a long time. It's very overlooked IMO.

105 and 111 are two different type products....

111 is a sure type sealant with the glossy look like Klasse....its very nice..but will not lat as long as 105

105 is a mix of a polymer and synthetic resin to mimic a wax look..so its more of a warm look...not a real high gloss....but will last much longer...105 is the only one that boasts the longevity of all the products...

101 and 111 give a wetter look than 105....105 gives more of the caranuba look so its not as glossy ...but a warm look to it

using Danase Wet Glaze under it does help bring up the gloss....even over it is better...or AW brings it up

How much less durability does 111 have than 105? (In your experiences Al). I can't justify purchasing another bottle of 105 since I'm so unhappy with the looks. I'm hoping that durability is still really good with 111 though, just not as insanely long as DG105.

111 will give you 3 months....longer if you do AW bi weekly or monthly...I been using the 501 Marine polish as a cleaner and under coat base...and then use 105 or 111 over it and works well..501 lasts as long as 105 but has the look of 111...great cleaner also...

Now the slickest sealant they have by far is the track klaw polish....thats real slick...but do not know durability on it as just trying it out this year..but it has a 111 look but real slick...its a flouropolymer polish....

Not much difference, I mainly did it because it was in the garage and not going anywhere and I'd rather do that than clean the basement.

Thanks on the wheels, they are gone now... You'll love the 111 it's way slicker than 105 too, nearly FMJ slick.

Well Photographically speaking... the hour right after sunrise and the hour right before sunset are the best hours to take pictures, especially of reflective things like cars. The lighting couldn't have been better in the first shot. So even with imperfect lighting the 111 edges out 105.

Plus it's the same car, my car. I own it, and live with and have used 105 and 111 on it the 111 is glossier, slicker, deeper, and wetter than the 105. Durability remains to be seen. These are things that than only be experienced first hand, no pictures can really capture it.

Furthermore, barring studio lighting it's always going to be different outside anyway so it's kind of a moot point. No disrespect meant in any of this BTW.

I personally don't care for "glow" anyway. It's a black car it should look like a mirror IHMO and I think 111 nails it.

I read where 105 is a blend of sealant and wax and 111 is all polymer sealant. Personally I feel that 111 topped with AW looks better than just 111 alone. Maybe it's because I have a darker colored car.

Ive been saying this for a while now. 111 rocks!!!! I have both 111 and 105 and like the 111 much more. The ease of use is like nothing Ive ever used, and it seems very durable to me. 105 has hardly any pop at all, it smells awesome though.

My favorite combo is 111 topped with FK Pink Wax. Looks awesome.
