I'm the 2nd luckiest person alive

Well, probably further down than 2nd..(ok, much further down) given all you guys doin the f-cars and such, but I still enjoy seeing turnarounds like this. And I'm surely getting my fair share of them.... You might remember my last detail that I posted ( found here ) . It had a pretty bad interior by all means, but I figured I wouldnt see many like that again... Wrong :wall Enter toyota highlander. Was just an interior detail, although it needs an exterior equally as bad. Due to the car showing up late, I had 3 hours to work with, including setup and cleanup. Squeaked it in, came in at just under 3 hours after putting away all the stuff in the garage.

So what was wrong with this?... you could've basically woven a new bernese mountain dog with all the dog hair in the carpets and seats. And if I hadnt known better, I would've assumed the car was left in Iraq w/ the windows down in order to layer the dash and doors in a protective layer of dust and dirt. :tumblewee And of course the standard dirt and debris... No worries though, everything came out pretty easily.

Used:

pet hair puller

303 and stoners fab/carpet cleaner

pinnacle vinyl/rubber protectant

some brushes and rags and some more patience

I was wondering the same thing..."Does that floormat have a tattoo?"

nice transformation. But how in the heck can someone live with that kind of filth???? Half that would make me want to burn the interior rather than clean it

very nice transformation! I'm very impressed.

But out of curiousity, which part makes you feel lucky?

Thanks :) The lucky part is that I keep getting these kinds of details.... Unfortunately, its dumb luck :wall :grrr

Very nice turnaround. What are those white stains in some of the pictures? Or is that just the sunlight?

Yea, thats just sunlight. Sun was going down when I was taking the pics, so thats why you're seeing those weird sections of light.

I remember the jeep, i was just amazed on how that came out and now this. im speechless.

im still hesitant on how to clean the carpets. but after seeing your work makes me want to tackle the kool-aid stain in my mothers truck...........(i dont think its coming out)

Keep up the good work :2thumbs:

Thanks..... I'm a little bit outside nyc, cranford (union county)

Ahh ok, Right now I'm just off 78, near 22. Or if you wanna look at it the other way around, I'm about 20 mins from Drew/Fairleigh Dickinson.

Could you post what you used for the pet hair puller? I've been looking around for something to use to get the massive amounts of hair out of my parents vehicles, but I haven't had much luck. When I did a google search I found 10 inch rubber bristle combs. Is this what you use? Are they really effective? Having two German Sheppards that ride everywhere they go means massive fur buildup all over. It drives me nuts! Thanks!

This is what I have and absolutely love it. It worked wonders. I've actually been thinking about buying a 2nd in case something happens to mine, this way I have a back up.

I'd have been afraid to get inside that rolling septic tank. Nasty.

Terrific turnaround, doesn't even look like the same car. :up

Thanks for the reply on the product recommendation. I'm ordering mine up this afternoon. I have to tackle the minivan next weekend!
