I'm so confused....am I on track.....

All the different products mentioned here and what they are called has gotten me very confused.



My understanding of the products i plan to use is listed below, am I close to being on track?



Wash the car

Clay the car

Wash car again



Now is where I get confused...



I plan to use a PC and Optimum Car Polish

Then apply Zaino Z-2 Pro with the ZFX mixed in by hand.

Then top that off with Z-8



Then touch up with Z-8 now and then and re-apply Z-2 (without ZFX) every 3 to 6 months.



Does this sound right? Is there anything above that is redundant or missing?



I haven't kept up a car finish since I sold my 69 Camaro and 56 Chevy back in 1990 so I'm way out of the loop.

Sounds good to me. You can also clay while washing the car if you want to. I use Z8 after every wash and it works great!
 
i don't re-wash after claying. Sometimes I have to re-wash after polishing depending on severity of swirls. (some dusting)
