i got my vet back from the autobody shop where my good freind fixed, repainted and cleared 90% of the panel on the car. i took it to him to get rid of some rock chips etc, etc. while he was at it, i, we got a little carried away and did more than i, we originally anticipated, the end result was utterly awesome, he does, imho, excellent work, does'nt know what it means to cut corners, etc. anyways it's been about 2 1/2 wks. since he put color and clear on the car and i have to wait at least til next wk. for the paint to fully cure and it's driving me crazy not being able to put some sort of protection on it. i've been keeping the car in the fl. sun everyday and putting it back in the garage at nite. i can't wait, but i will til next week when i can put something on top of it.

I'd put some Meguiar's #5 on it. No need to wait as long as the paint is dry (at least AFAIK, and I've applied it over days-old repaints with no problems).

And yeah, it's great that you found a good shop :xyxthumbs

Can you still smell paint fumes after the car has been sitting in the garage overnight?
