Im getting a PC...

Ok so i'm probably gonna go pick up the PC 7336 up from Lowes. I am going to buy a velcro backing plate(VBP-6) from CMA, a 6" white polishing pad, should i get a orange cutting pad also? I dont need a finishing pad since i will do it by hand.



Also, where can i buy the orange pad? I dont think CMA sells it. Lastly, are there any other stores other than CMA that sells pads cheaper than CMA? BTW My car is an 02 black color w/ alot of swirls
 
If you're going to use 6" pads I'd suggest getting a 5" backing plate. On a 6"/6.5" pad a 6" backing plate may extend past the Velcro on the pad and possibly cut into the foam. Also a 5" backing plate on a 6"/6.5" pad will be less likely to come in contact with your paint. Just my 2 cents.

We seem to be bouncing between forums here :D .



I've got some on order because I've heard some very positive things about them from other members here using them, plus the price is pretty darn good too. It'll be nice when he gets in some cutting pads (should be soon).
 
The Excel pads look to be similar to the ones Sonus sells in the Autopia store. If this is the case, they are excellent pads. I don't know if Patrick is selling the orange pads or not yet. I know he had some on order...:hm
