Last month while in Orlando I needed to wash my car. My very smart and talented 3 year old niece, Jordan, decided she was gonna help Uncle Bret (or "Untow Bwet" as she calls me
).
As you can see in this first pic, she starts at the tires using Eagle One Tire Cleaner to get them spotless.
Then she cleans the wheels with a soft bristled wheel brush and soap and water.
Whoops!!! A little brain fade there. Well, she is only 3 and that brush does have very soft bristles. No harm done.
After a Z7 wash and rinse its on to the drying with a waffleweave microfiber from our friends at MicrofiberTech. Jordan knows a quality towel and uses it properly, blotting the water from the surface.
The mirror looks OK but need a little more attention.
(fashion show voice) Jordan is modeling a minty green microfiber hand towel from Neatitems while my mother is showcasing the waffleweave from MicrofiberTech (/fashion show voice).
Well, the car looks great as usual. You have to admit, for a beautiful blond little girl, Jordan is quite the detailer. Doesn't she looks pleased with the results?
So fellow Autopians, if you find yourself doubting your detailing skills and abilities, take heart. If a 3 year old can make a car look great, so can you! It's really not that hard once you learn the proper techniques and have the right tools.
P.S. I told her dad (my brother) that a girl that pretty has got to have a BMW cabrio when she turns 16. I advised him to start saving now. Something every father should take to heart when thinking of their daughter's future.
