If you ever buy used furniture... [GROSS]

Make sure you shampoo the upholstery! :wow: :bolt

I got a sofa set off a friend of my parents and it is really nice, but it has a certain funk to it that I just don't want to have to live with.

Looks like chocolate milk, huh? The worst part is this was the 2nd pass with the shampooer (Bissel conventional carpet shampooer). The first time around I used the soap that is made to work with the system, but it didn't put much of a dent into it. This time I used some liquid tide mixed with hot water, and hooked up the water line to use hot water, and it seemed to work, but after drying for a bit, the smell is still there.

That's the wastewater sucked up by the vac. The entire thing was full.

Oh ok, I was looking at it wrong. I thought it was some metal table in a sink. LMAO

I used to grab up all the used overstuffed chairs and sofas I could find...especially old stuff from the 40's, 50's and 60's.

I'd break'em up with a 4 lb. hand sledge and grab all the spare change. Usually, there was enough spare change to make it worthwhile. Occasionally, there were coins of value (numismatically speaking, of course).
