I've been pursuing a detail that I would even do at cost. It's just a vehicle I would really like to do.

It made me curious. What vehicle would you pick? Let's say you walked up and asked but had to do it at cost and would get the job.
 
The President's limo....not the one's in a museum but the active one's that is in the fleet. I will Blackfire those rides!
 
I have been very lucky in my career. I have detailed everything from the only original paint 427 Cobra to a $25,000,000 Ferrari 250 GTO, and everything in between and below. One thing that I have learned is that cars are car and paint is paint, they aren't quite that special when you are 3 inches away starting at swirl marks.

Veryons... ehhh hard paint

Original paint 60's cars worth more than a couple million... don't screw up, at all, even a little bit...

Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Maseratis, etc... just cars....

But I have one dream... just one.... and the only one I would EVER do for free... The mighty McLaren F1!
 
I can't think of any car that I'm so in love with that would cause me to work for nothing

I would however detail Robin Meade's car for free, but that has nothing to do with what kind of car she drives

I have to agree with the earlier poster, I'd do a Ferrari or Lamborghini.

Your typical soccer mom's mini van for me. I have a good sense of accomplishment after cleaning one.

If that wasn't it then maybe a Ferrari, Porsche, MB, BMW or one of those boring cars:D:D:D:D
 
Great answers. BTW not for free at cost.(which i understand means no profit) So it would have to be something special to you. It was just a "what if" that would land the job in your hands.

I've been fortunate, so the criteria is a little different. I've been able to do or drive everything I dreamed of having growing up. Now I kind of gravitate towards famous movie cars of my period.(before the made multiple units for the movie)
Call me crazy.
 
Only car I'd do for cost is for some one I really liked, doesn't matter what kind of car it is lol. Steve would fall in this catagory :lol2:
 
As a kid, the General Lee was a car I really wanted to own, I don't know about dreaming about detailing it. But I'd make a deal, let me get it dirty doing jumps, and figure eights in the dirt and I will clean it up!
 
Anyone remember the episode of the beverly hillbillies where jethro turns the old truck into a dragster? I would detail that for cost :)

What about the dragster the Munsters rode in?

I guess my dream would be detailing a 1972 Chevy Chevelle convertible SS 396 that I would like to own. I actually like the mopar stuff but this was a nice car.
