Same for me, but I use FPII because its so great on soft paints, which is where I have problems finishing out M205. I haven't used 85RD, so my opinion might be different if I used that one.

Agreed again, and for pads, I personally have LC hydrotech Cyan and Tangerine and LC CCS blue/gray for finishing. Some use LC Orange and White. I know Accumulator likes his Griots Orange Pads.

I would like to try Menz 85rd for finishing though, something I have not had yet but I will be due to the popularity and results.

No reason to have more then 2. :)

M105/205 is all I have used for the last year.

have you done a test with a better finishing polish like FPII or ultrafina (of course you have, I know). Do you not get a better finish?

I cant get a proper finish with just 205 as the finish. There is always more gloss to be had from a finer polish IMO Granted some people pay for it and some dont...so some get it and some dont

IMO FPII and UF are only adding oils to the finish. Especially UF as its like using a glaze with fillers via a R/O.

Whats the big deal with the new hydro-tech LC pads?? Are they really worth the price.

My three polishes would be OHC, OC, OFP. Got to love optimum
