I'd like to try Zaino...please help.

After taking some time off from detailing and this board, it feels good to come back and see beautiful, shining cars once again.

I've re-evaluated my car care needs and decided that I need something that will give me the most value for my dollar. I want something that is long lasting, convinient, and easy to use. I've decided to go with Zaino after trying their leather conditioner in my car's interior.

My problem is that I have already invested in many other paint care products, but I always find myself having to reapply them quite often as my car is black and sits outside most of the time. I've read from other people in my situation that Zaino would be a good choice as it lasts very long with little maintenance (something that would be very appreciated in my situation). I'm not jumping to any conclusions here, I am simply looking to try something different.

Before taking the plunge and buying an assortment of products, could someone please tell me a way to get a taste of Zaino without investing much money? I am looking for a minimal amount of products to allow me to get a "feel" for what Zaino has to offer (is it possible to obtain samples from local distributors?).

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and it feels great to be back!

Welcome back. For Zaino on a budget, use whatever prep product you have and get your paint as perfect as possible. Then wipe it down with a isopropyl alcohol/water mix, apply Z1, and then Z2 over that, and wipe it off.

Z1 :: $8.95

Z2 :: $12.95

___________

Total :: $21.90

Add $7.95 shipping if you can't find a local distributor. I hope you have foam applicators and quality towels.

For your Welcome Back initiation..........

Use the SEARCH function!!!

OK, I'm sure you didn't want to hear that so I did a search for you using "zaino, basics" and found 19 threads discussing exactly what you're interested in.

Zaino is pretty pricey and I've never heard of free samples from anyone. Best thing I could suggest is maybe trade someone for some Zaino or look for someone who is selling their products to make room for something else.

Also, if you have AIO, you could replace Z1 with that. I've tried it with success.

Thats interesting .. the AIO .. would be nice to see something break the Zaino product line strangle hold.

Z-1â„¢ Polish Lok provides an optically perfect, molecular bond between your car's paint and the polish to increase durability.

For optimum paint finish results, Z-1â„¢ Polish Lok must be used before applying Show Car Polishes Z-2, Z-3 or Z-5.

Anyone else tried the AIO method?

Why would you want a taste? The stuff works, and gets better with lots of reapplications. Order the meal, and if budget is the issue, use up what you have while you save.

Good thread .. thank you ..

So basically no one knows if the Z2 over AIO is doing the proper bonding to the paint without Z1 or ZFX. It sounds like from reading the Zaino info for initial crosslinking to the paint to happen one of the 2 needs to be present.
