The Edge waffle pad are great.. I have used the Blue polishing and the green light cutting pad. I find that sing is more controled and the machine doesn't bog down, Also there is an extended working time with products. That said the only falut i have found is when your buffing rough and changing surfaces the foam is more likly to catch but a normal bad would also do that..

Thats what I get from the 3M waffel pads, thanks for the update.

Pics my good friend PICS!!! You take great ones!! Keep in mind that we offer more textures and colors than 3M, we offer edges, automatic centering, recessed glue on the edges, two sides to work with, and they cost alot less than the thin 3M pads!! and we will be comming out with a new Syrup Polish soon to go with the waffle pads!! ahahahahah

Waffles have always intrigued me.
I like the Farecla GMop waffle system, and look forward to updating my Edge system to one of the new ones sometime.

I just bought 3 of the waffle pads from detail city.

I have the flat Edge 2000 and love them, I am sure the waffle will meet expectations.

I really dig the waffle's too! I've got almost every pad you guys make now! A full set of wool, and all the foam pads minus the black ones (I've never encoutered anything the yellow pad couldn't handle).
The two things I really dig about the waffles are as Patrick said, sling is more controlled. But I really like the feel you get while buffing, it feels more controlled than with the flat pads.

Oh and Aaron: One of the people I deal with at my local P&S distributor said he's carrying strictly Edge 6" pads for the PC, nothing else. That right there says you've got one hell of a product!

Im thinking of going edge pads eventually. right now i use the LC 7".5" pads for my makita & PC. Are you guys liking the waffles over the older version pads.
I noticed the other pads are much thicker ,how is it that you get into tighter areas with such a thick pad?

Patrick.H i already know your response waffles & bacon

I haven't had a problem with the oads being too thick. And if you do have a really tight area to get into while polishing, the edge of the pad usually tackles that area no problem.
I think I like both pads about the same. I like the quickness of the flat pads when I'm cutting out moderate-severe scratches, but I'm starting to use the waffles for the rest of my polishing. At first I was skeptical about the blue pad, I didn't see how a pad without 100% surface area to work with could give an even, consistant gloss while doing a finishing polish but I proved myself wrong the first time I used it. Both seem to hold up great too. I've only used my waffles for 1 detail soo far and they show very little wear, and I've got about 3 details on my latest set of flat pads and I can say the same for them too

If you do switch to the Edge pads, you won't go back! They're fast, conveinient, and they've got cool colors :D

I would have switched months ago but i picked up 5 LC pads.
What size pads are you using for your PC/rotorary?

I don't have them for my PC, but I've got the 8" pads for my rotary. I would look into them for the PC but the only thing I really use it for anymore is applying wax, so it really wouldn't benefit me to get the Edge system for one pad. However, now that my local distributor is discontinuing all his other pads, I might pick up a set just to see how they work with the PC.
