Storage is a climate controlled warehouse along with many others. The car will be dormant for 5 months. I wondered if there are any specific points I should keep to?

Thanks

Some starting points are change all fluids prior to and after storage. Have the car completely detailed prior to placing into storage. Make sure it is completely dry. Disconnect the battery and/or hook up a trickle charger that is electronically controlled (schumacher makes a excellent one).

There is the issue of flat spotting the tires (however after the first drive where the tires get up to temp this will go away). The best solution is to have a different set of tires for storage. If this is not possible then to try and minimize the effect, you can roll (do not start) the car a few feet backwards and forwards every couple of weeks. Also over inflating the tires and placing them on very plush carpet squares can help. There are also specifically made tire cradles but I have no experience with them. I would also recommend getting some type of mositure absorbing material and placing it in the car and trunk area. These are some starting points I am sure you will get other suggestions.

Also, make sure no small critters or rodents have access to the car. Setting traps around your car may help prevent this.
