......for paint care for black vehicles.

The first is a 2001 Audi TT roadster. It has swirling although not too bad.

The other is a 2005 Carrera S. It also has very minor swirls.

I've purchased a UDM kit and the Ultima sampler pack which works great in the small areas I've tried it on.

What I need is a standard set of products to use for bring my paint back to the best possible look followed by a suggested maintenance program given that I will probably wash my car twice a week during the driving season (Michigan). I'm not opposed to spending good money for great product however may not need to spend a fortune given that I have no problem applying product every couple weeks.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

If the swirling is minor, you should be set with a good wash, clay, and wax every few months. A good polishing once per year should be all you need if you wash and wax regularly. RaggTopp cleaner and protectant is also recommended for the roadster.

My preference for black (especially Audi/Porsche black) is Chemical Guys 5050, otherwise P21S Concourse has always been good to me. They are both more expensive than some of the other waxes out there but the looks are amazing. Top it off with a little Opti-seal every 6 months and you have [my preferred] winning combination.

My schedule for my personal vehicle is this: start with a full detail to perfect the paint with a sealant and topped with a paste wax, wash once per week, clay/wax every 2 months, single polish/clay/wax/seal after 6 months.

Though this board is full of opinions and those are just mine. I have heard that Pinnacle Souveran is amazing on blacks as well, but I've never tried it.

Ultima is a fine product - clay, Menzerna Super Intensive Polish/orange pad, UPPP on a white pad followed by a couple of coats of UPGP by hand.

If you want that classic carnauba wet look - try Menzerna Super Intensive Polish/orange pad followed by 1Z Metallic Polish/white pad followed by Clearkote RMG/black pad and CG 50:50 paste wax by hand.

If the swirling isn't pad. I suggest getting the UDM like you said and getting some white/orange pads and then 106ff/SIP. That's it.

I agree with the waxes above. I like nattys for a cheaper wax but an awesome wet look

S100 is also nice and is the same at p21S but S100 is marketed towards motorcycle car instead of automotive care. Same exact products though.:nixweiss
