I need a good rubber cleaner.

Looking for a good rubber cleaner. I need something that will remove the nasty mildew/mold and grows on exterior trim.
 
I havn't either so i don't know what to expect. My mom asked me to detail her car today so i did. There was mildew or what i think it mildew all over the rubber trim and in the every nook and cranny of the car. The car hasn't been hand washed in 2 years and sits outside under trees. It's in pretty poor shape.
 
I know you can use Mothers Tire and Rubber Cleaner on trim like that (apply and just wipe off w/o rinsing) but I haven't tried using it like that yet. It works well on my tires though....

Has anyone tried this stuff?
 
I use Griots Rubber Cleaner.



I find this product very good for getting the weather strips back to an "as new" condition prior to dressing.

Maybe I'm alone, but I love the stuff...cheap too. Just like the other Klasse products, a little product goes a long way. Leaves a nice low luster satin finish.



But I have no idea about cleaning ability...I use it as a last step (AIO step actually)

CLR is a product for cleaning sinks etc and will remove most anything. It's a strong chemical so wear rubber gloves and test it in a suitable area. Great stuff but I don't know how rubber will react to the chemicals. Come to think of it the rubber gloves don't get hurt by it but.....

I would second that,it's oil based not water based,but works great...

My favourite is Autoglym Bumper Care. This stuff cleans/cares for/protects my exterior trim like nothing else.



(I'm a Brit, but definitely not an Autoglym fan... with the exception of Bumper Care.) I'm a big Meguiar's fan, but IMO nothing they have compares to this stuff.

The Mothers cleaner I mentioned above is FOR tires and rubber and vinyl trim...



Try that or #39 I say.

I was about to press the order button for the griots but decided to check this thread again. Do you think the mothers will be better?
