I messed up :(

Yesterday I figured I would help my g/f wash and wax her car. Well, I waxed the whole thing with 4* UPP and then figured that I would try it on the windows also. The problem is that I didn't get it all off. Does anyone know of a way to get UPP off of the windows???

UPP has too much oil to be used on windows.



Windex ( contains ammonia) or isopropyl alcohol (IPA) will do the trick.

Do you think that I could use regular old rubbing alchohol diluted 1:1?

Rubbing alcohol is IPA (Isopropyl alcohol). Dilute it 1:1, and you get a mix that will remove waxes, polishes, etc- I'd recommend trying it, and then using a good glass cleaner to make sure the glass is clear.

Just use any glass cleaner, paint cleaner, or try dawn and it should come off.

as said above, iso will remove wax from car surfaces. spray it on a towel or something and wipe vs spraying ont he widnow directly which might get some overspray on the paint.
