I recently had this video profesionally made. I think it shows a good perspective of the work that comes through my shop. What do you think?

I think it's a good video.

However, I did have to LOL that it's trying to copy Dalton - talking about water temperature, 52steps, etc.... ...... not saying that's good or bad, just saying it made me lol =)

nice video, but is it just me or should you try not to expose most all the products you are using, so others (nearby competition) try not to copy you?

Very impressive facility John! Top notch video too. It would make for a great TV commerical.

Are there 2 bays/buildings at your location - wash / detail? How big is your place all together? What's the pointy tool that looks like a gun? Looks like an air hose I think. What other kind of unique things are you using/doing there?

Love the idea... see a lot of paul dalton marketing in the video, kind to the paint with warm washer rinsing, citrus degreasing etc.

No qualms there, he is one hell of a marketer!

John, that was a *great* video. Especially the defect revealing. It's a real eye opener to see what looks like a beautiful, shiny car, then have that light come on and show the swirls and defects. Nicely done on the part of the camera man.

The whole video is nicely done, really. And am I the only one that noticed that even your detailing tools have been detailed? Sheesh, I thought *I* kept my detailing equipment detailed, but my stuff looks old and grungy compared to yours.

Excellent facility, excellent video.... I'd bring *my* car to you, for sure. Good stuff.

Nice video, had good information, nice shots, keeps your attention, mentions your name plenty of times, and a nice car. I think you have a good video there!

Where do you plan on doing with it now other than on the web page, and internet linking?

John I think you guys got a great setup and a very nice video there. Im curious what it cost? can you pm me with the info?

Thanks David,

We have a two bay wash bay that's seperate from the detail shop. I made sure to define the wash area, this helps keep the rest of the shop clean. We have 5 detail bays, and one seperate bay that's only used for clear mask installations with a vehicle lift. The pointy tool is an air gun. Other unique things, tricks? Yeah, we've got a few up our sleeve.

I'm not too worried about that. You give somebody a couple of good products, doesn't make them a good detailer.

true, but you know how people are these days. in anycase, good luck with the biz...

I found it rather interesting. Defiantly a lot of marketing hype. and a lot of slamming down on the local competition too LOL. I think it was put together beautifully. Is that going to air on local television in some fashion? All in all I think it's very effective and if nothing else should be on the home page of your website as a great opener for new visitors

slamming down on local competition? I think it will just be on my website for now.

You didn't mention any names but yea several times in there you mention how inept the other detailers in the area are and how they miss things. (ie. the boars hair brush to all the jambs and then the 180* tire rotation) It's not a bad thing I do it myself throughout my own website. It's a funny thing to me. it just made me chuckle when it came up.

John,

I think that the vid is fantastic. I also purchased a vid to do for my shop. However I have been putting it off due to lack of ideas. After seeing yours I have some ideas, but I feel like I have a long way to go. Great facility , by the way.

What do you think of Car Pros "Blue Ice". I use some of their products like "Ultimate Cutter" at my shop, but I have not tried any of their dressings.
