GOT PREP?
I CLEAN UP AFTER THEM!!!!! Today I had two interior only details at the same location. Owners were as nice as they could be, the interiors? Eh, not so great.
The first was a Toyota Tacoma, not sure of the year. The interior was FULL of dog hair and other assorted goodies.
In order to tackle the dog hair, I use several techniques. First I vacuumed all of the hair that I could a section at a time. I then sprayed Costco APC 10:1 into the carpets and allowed it to dwell for a few seconds. I then put on some blue nitrile gloves and brushed the hair with my fingers into balls, which were vacuumed up. This got the majority of the hair. The hair that remained was taken care of by using an upholstery brush and my shop vac.
For the stains in the carpets I used Costco APC 10:1 and followed up with the LGCM. The vinyl was also cleaned with Costco APC and dressed with meguiars #40.
During this detail I learned that focusing on small areas intensely is the only was to gain satisfaction. If you try to do too large of an area it almost seems like you are fighting your self. Working in small sections is the key.
