I have a question, for all the experts on the board

Last night, I started washing then started with SSR2.5 with orange pad,
then moved right upto the polish with carnuba, by that time, I was just so tired. stopped. went to sleep, and today I want to finish up putting the EXP
on top of it. do I need to re wash the whole car? If I had spray and wipe it wouldnt be a problem, but I dont have it. All I have is mother's quick detailer.

Now, the car is shinny and all but its little dusty from use and overnight parking at the basement.

Should I use quick detailer to just wipe of the dust and apply the exp or should I wash it. If I dont wash it and do it, will the dusts leave any scratches?

hhelp me out!

Im not one of the experts so you prolly dont really want my opinion but i would think that quick detailing it to get the dirt and dust off of it would work just fine...sorry i cant tell you for sure though = (

i wouldnt wash the car again id wipe it off ... but if you see that its getting scratches go ahead and wash it again . hope that helps you out

Another non expert opinion.
I definitely would do something to clean it before finishing with the EX-P.
If it is just dusty, then using a QD should do it. If it's dirty, wash it.
Try one section with the QD and see how it looks before you do the whole vehicle. If the one section turns out OK, do the rest of the vehicle.

QD'ing would work. The only issue may be with Showtimes' "added slickness" chemical(s). They may have compatibilty issues with the EX-P, but I don't know for sure if it would.

Regardless, as mentioned earlier, be sure to clean off the dust before applying the EX-P.

:yeah

You could also try a dampened quality plush MF wiped lightly over the dusty surfaces followed by a wipe with a dry waffle weave. That would avoid bonding issues between the QD and sealent. I have never tried this myself so you would have to check it in a non-visible area. Your situation is another of the many reasons one should never be without S&W. When possible for you, I would certainly recommend investing in some.

If there is any chance that there was any moisture involved... I would wash.

Dust + Moisture (then dried) = Dirt

Don't QD "dirt"... wash it or S & W (get some).
