I got my 'new' license plates!

I now have new (39 year old) official state licence plates for my 2002tii. I searched for the plates a long time. And after a bit of red tape, got them approved for use on my car. January 1973 was the actual date when the BMW was first registered. Since the car is considered 'historic' in Missouri, I never have to renew them. I like the look. Kinda cool, IMO.

Nice! Are you allowed to have them refinished so they are as perfect as the rest of the car?

I don't think there is any restriction on that. But they look fairly good as is. I do wonder, though, what kind of paint they use. Some sort of reflective metallic.

You know, I was worried about that! When I was researching plates I found that years around '73 were yellow, blue and green and I was thinking that would be soooooo yuck! LOL! Funny what priorities are.
