Detail Plus (http://www.detailplus.com) sells pet hair sponges that are very effective at dragging pet hair out of the depths of upholstery and carpet. I used to double up with my latex gloves and use my hands, but this method was much more efficient.

I spent a lot of time researching an extractor that would work for a mobile detailer like myself, and am glad I chose Detail Plus's Tuffy Jr. After a dry vac, I sprayed the mats with their general carpet shampoo, then agitated with a Cyclo with carpet brush attachments, then immediately followed up with the heated extractor--latitudinal stripes, then longitudinal stripes. Grease and dirt are gone. The scalding hot water evaporates quickly, and the results are great! Pretty impressive for such a small unit.

Nice work to do the research to get the right products, and a great result! I would have sat in a corner and cried if I got a car like that!

Nice work on that detail. That car was a total mess.

I've seen a similar sponge at a pet shop but never tried it. I use the Megs lint/hair extractor which looks a lot like the TOL brush. Works like a charm, and since I have 2 dogs, it has to.
