I finally did it....

First off Thanks to everyone on this great Forum..

I have three cars.

01 Mustang..... The first subject.. He he :xyxthumbs

99 Acura TL .... Second Subject still not completed...

96 Toyota Corolla.... Final subject nothing done yet need a few more days

I purchased a PC. Works awesome. :D

I bought the backing plate with velcro.

Orange cutting pad, White Pad, and Gray/black pad. Three pads altogether.

The Mustang looks great and smooth.... First off. I had the car washed, then clayed it. Whatever tar that remained I used Meg's bug and tar remover. Finally I used Klasse AIO with orange pad, Next White pad with Klasse Glaze, Final Gray?/black pad with P21S wax.

Is there anything that I could have done to improve any part of this process that I decided to take? I would have appriciated a deeper gloss.

I just finished the Klass AIO on the Acura still need to do the next steps like the mustang.

The first two cars are Silver color outside.

The Toyota I plan to do soon before the weekend if possible. It is a black Color and really want to leave it shining What can I do to make it really stand out it turns of gloss. Should I follow the same steps that I did with the mustang or should I change anything. Please advise?

I do need to clay the Corolla for sure but the paint is in good shape. It just has whatever dirt on the top of the surface no really deep scratches.

I used Turtle Wax Rubbing compund Heavy duty (Red Color) for the scratches . Is there something better?

By the way I did buy the 1Z metallic polish. Did not use it :(

When would have been during the process to use it?

I would like to post pics but How can I do this? I do have a digi cam and have Mac.

Thanks to all.. :D

Did you let the Klasse SG sit at least 24 hours before applying the P21S? I would suggest to get more gloss wait another 24 hours after your first coat of P21S and then put on another. The same steps would be fine on the acura. If you got the 1z metallic polish then use that to remove the scratches. If they are still there then I would suggest getting some SSR 2.5 or DACP instead of the turtle wax compound. You could have substituted the metallic polish for AIO but I think the AIO before SG will last longer. Try a search on how to post pics becuase I never posted a pic before.

No I did not allow the Klasse SG sit for 24 hrs before i applied the p21s.

is it cool to use the 1Z instead of the AIO? Is it better?

I want to improve the Gloss factor when detailing my car.

Thanks

The Klasse SG probly didn't cure all the way which would affect the gloss because the longer you let it sit the better it will look. And like I said before I think AIO would be better before SG because of durability and also gives a good look. I have never tried metallic polish but just to experiment you can go ahead and try it before SG. Simply do 1z and SG on one panel and AIO and SG on another panel and see which one you like better.

I did not let the Klasse glaze sit for long. Will do that for the nest two cars. How long should I let it sit?

Can I bring any more gloss to the mustang?

Also I have some swirls on the Corolla It has black paint. What part of the process should I change?

I have a scratch that I need help with I see people gve good reviews with Megs scratch X is this better than Rubbing compound from turtle wax? Would I be able to apply with the PC?
