GOT PREP?
Over the weekend there was a charity carshow so I figured why not? It was a lot of fun and all proceeds went to Feed The Need.

I worked on my car from mid-day friday until about midnight. When I woke up Saturday morning, I apllied the finishing touches.

Paint process was, wash, SSR1, #81, NXTx2, topped with TS in the A.M. The tires are dressed with poorboy's B&B. I used S&W throughout the show to maintain.

The engine was cleaned with an EZ detail brush and dressed with meguiars #40 cut 50/50.

Oddly enough the main thing that I was asked all day was "how is the engine that clean after 108,000+ miles?" I guess engine detailing must be a real enigma. :dunno

Anyway, I went into the show expecting nothing and ended up winning first in my class and best engine overall. I was pleased and had a great time!

SWEEET! All I can say is the effort and work you put into the car really shows. The engine bay detail is tops :bigups . I noticed on some detailing website someone was having a contest for Engine bay detailing . You should enter it , sorry but I can't remember which site it was. I like those red wheels they look nice on the car.

SAWEET!:bigups

Awesome job on the paint and especially the engine compartment. I agree, an engine bay that clean with 108,000 miles is very very rare. It really completes the picture. Imagine having a car like yours, so clean and perfectly detailed then lifting the hood and seeing a greasy, dirty, neglected mess.

Kudos to ya EBP! Most definetely deserved.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words! I really appreciate it. I always like going to car shows, but it has been a while since I actually showed one of mine. It really takes a lot of work. Kudos to all the people who show regularly!!

Great work EBP, and congrats! :bigups :bigups

That engine compartment does looks awesome, as does the paint and all the detail!

Heck, even the AEM gauze air filter looks clean! :D
