I caved...CWB

Mmmph

Mad Detailer
Finally bought one of these little buggers.

I've seen three people use them and one owns a black Lexus GS. He uses it with every wash, and there's nary a scratch or streak. I keep mine in a see-through bin with my WWMF drying towels.

I'm actually looking forward to using it on the roof of my RX 300. Drying it has always been a major PITA.

BWAHAHAHAHA!! Welcome to the dark side! :D

I've yet to run into any damage that I can attribute to using this thing, and I use it all the time. Just be picky and cautious about it. I wash mine off with the leftover soap just before use every time.

Combining the CWB with a waffle weave has got to be the fastest method of drying! :)

Oh, don't ya just love these things?

I use it on my '03 SC430 along with a waffel and car is dry in no time! Water spots? We don't need no stinken water spots! Great to get it off glass in a hurry! Saves the waffel for better pick-up.

It's just un-nerving to hear it go across the finish the first time. Makes you think... Oh there goes my Zaino/Klasse/S100 etc. but NO, damn thing works so well!

Enjoy the new toy!

Regards,

Deanski

I tried one of those once but there wasn't enough water left after using the trickle method so it just squeaked across the car. Its with the rest of unused products that I've accumulated.

I love my CWB. I always use it on the glass and will use it on the car if its the first time I've done it and the water just clings to it. Just wipe the blades with your fingers before using it to make sure there is no grit on it. I've never seen any damage from it. :bigups

I love that thing. The first couple runs always freak me out...but after a year of use, I haven't seen anything to make me worry about my car's finish...good stuff!

I use 303 protectant on my Truxedo pick up bed cover and after I wash it and am ready to dry, I use the CWB! I never can get all of the 303 off (Not that I really want/have to) and I do not want to run my Waffle Weave over it for fear of spreading 303 on to the paint. So CWB to the rescue! Works great!!!:up :up

This is the one of the best prior to use techniques for the CWB. Inevitably, whenever I pick it up, no matter how I store it, it seems to have a not so slick feeling on the edge.

I am another proponent of the CWB. I have been using it for over a year now on my garaged black '96 Cobra. This thing is such a time saver and does such a great job.

My routine is to get the majority of water off with the CWB, then use a leafblower to get under the door handles, in the mirrors, etc, then finish off with a towel.

One tip: dip your hand in the soap bucket and run it along the edges of the blade, then rinse with the hose. Shake once and start drying!!

edit: 4DSC looks like you beat me to the punch with your tip....its great advice.

same here, I actually prefer the CWB on delicate surfaces here in our shop over MF's... I've yet to marr a black paint so far...
