The surgery went well, and I'm once again able to use my left hand to type with... for the most part. :) It's pretty weird telling a body part to do something, and having it just go "uh uh, can't do it. 's not prudent at this juncture."



Still kinda freaked out about how they go in from the front of the throat to do spinal surgery. I'll be sure and post some really nasty pictures once I get to take the dressing off. :eek:



No detailing for another eight weeks, though, so I need as much eye candy as I can get from you guys this season, aight?

Yeah, they went through the front to do the spinal surgery.. It's called an Anterior Discectomy, Fusion, and Foraminotomy. The first of three surgeries, but the doc thinks I have a year before I have to go in for the second.



Three metal plates and four screws... gonna make it darn hard to get through airport screening with any speed.

Glad to hear things are well and you still have your sense of humour,-but posting pictures would be a mean joke. Scotts hernia pics, still makes me weak.

Post up the pics! Include a NSFW-or-something warning if necessary. That *does* sound like an inventive way to go about it, they sure do a lot of newfangled techniques these days.
 
Yeah, it kinda sneaked up on me, too. I missed a chance to do a detail for Tdekany as he passed through town, too. I would have loved to have done a free detail for him, but dang.. talk about nervous...Doing a detail for any of what I consider to be the "Autopian Masters" (of which Tdekany is one) would be very stressful.



The best pictures are going to be the xrays I'm going to have done next month to make sure the screws, plates, and cadaver bone are making themselves at home.
 
SB glad your feeling a little better but be real careful. You still have your sense of humor. We want the pictures.:2thumbs:
 
ACF....been there, done that. You in a halo? If you are, like I was, forget detailing 8 weeks from now.

BTW, the titanium doesn't set off alarms at the airport. :)
