I applied Jeff's AJ to my whole truck today, put it on thick, in cool temps ...

don't do that! lol!

Tried the sprayer with AJ today and it's worthless. Might as well take the cap off and dump the product to your surface. But I intended to apply it a little thick and let it sit today to see how temperamental in can be. It was tough to buff off all of the residue. It really reminded me of KSG.

But just like KSG I had Sonus QD to bail me out.

Not as bad as the time I applied Collinite 476s and let it dry hard it the heat. I cried that day.

I have AJ with the sprayer but have not tried it yet. I have found that some products do not spray well with the type tops and tubes they use. I usually end up buying a cheap mister spray plastic bottle (like the kind of mister for perfume) to put the product in. This takes a little more time but you do not get nearly as much product on the car (usually a good thing) and the coverage is better. Depending on what you use, the liquid may be too thick for the mister to work properly but that does not occur often.

I use sprayers on both AJ and CJ. AJ I spray a foam pad and CJ I use much like a QD.

One thing you might try with the sprayer is....run some hot water in a bucket or sink and set the sprayer tube in water and spray it through a few times..see if the volume and pattern change any.

yup.. that's the setback to AJ. If it goes on too thick, you're in for a very difficult time. I found that out the hard way. One cannot be mindful, but VERY mindful to its application process.. and you know what, after a lengthy session with my rotary where paying attention to detail is a must, and after 4 hours into a job, the last thing i want is to be overly careful with an LSP. I prefer to have my detailing regime's LSP stage Fun, and relaxing. Over the years, WG, UPP and Zaino have been forgiving in this dept. when a little more has been added by a black pad. But if a little more is added with KSG or AJ, you're in for some tough times added to that original detail. For that reason, i have a brand new container of AJ sitting on my shelf collecting dust.. When I have the time to pay attention to my LSP, then I'll crack out the AJ.. until then, it sits..

I don't consider AJ that difficult. Just don't go overboard like I did. If you are going to use the sprayer use the Scottwax method of applying with a foam pad and go back over it with the same pad. It's actually fairly easy to spread thinly.

Even caking it on like I did I removed 95% of the product with my first buff. Sonus QD took care of the other 5%.

exactly, in my view, if an LSP makes me take out my QD to remove it, to the shelf it goes, no matter what shine it produces
