I am out of here!

Tex Star Detail

Formerly TexasTB
Going on a road trip! Leaving this evening from here in Texas to head up to Missouri to visit family for Easter. I'm driving at night so all the kids and wife will be sleeping. LOL. Just me and the road!!!! Depending on the kids' bathroom breaks, it should take about 10-12 hours. I once made it in 9 hours by myself, but I was asking for a ticket. I won't be on here until I get back after Easter. My Father has Dial-up still.....that should tell you why. Hahaha. I tried checking my email there before. It took 30 minutes to read my mail.....LOL...

I will be pulling my detailing trailer behind me, just incase I hit a bug, I can pull over, fire up the washer, and get that sucker off. LMAO
J/K.....I plan on detailing my Mom and Dads truck while I am up there....Maybe I can make a few extra bucks and do the neighbors' cars too.

So, Everyone have a Happy Easter and be safe. For anyone else traveling, Drive safe and dodge bugs!!!!!!

Take care DC!!!!!!!!:howdy

Good luck on your trip. Have fun driving through America's genetic wasteland....I mean Arkansas.

Disclaimer: The above statement is not intended to offend anyone. I know that Arkansas is not America's genetic wasteland. I was simply going off of a stereotype of Arkansans that I have heard about and witnessed in my 5 years of being stationed here.:)

I refuse to drive through Arkansas anymore. I went through once and got a ticket for running a yellow light.:D The guy behind me ran a red light. Oh well.
I am driving up through Dallas, up through Oklahoma to the toll road (Interstate44) All the way to Missouri.

Where at in MO??
St. Robert (Waynesville) Next to Ft. Leonard Wood. Right in Between Rolla and Lebanon. (30 minutes each way)
If you still don't know.....about an 1-1.5 hours West of Springfield Missouri.

Ok everyone....Shutting of the comupter and hitting the road........

While I agree that the cops are a bit "off" here, I don't think I could justify taking a longer route.

It may be longer mile wise, but time wise, it is the same if not shorter. When I hit the toll road, the speed limit is 75. Where as when I go through Arkansas, I am hitting a bunch of little towns where the speed limit varies up and down.....

Have fun..

Make sure to keep an eye on your trailer, make sure them bearings don't burn up. You should get yourself a grease gun and keep it in your trailer.
