I am officially a Zaino user!

I detailed the Volvo yesterday and the BMW today using the steps: Z18, ZAIO, Z5 w/zfx, Z2 w/zfx, ZCS and Z8 - using Z6 between each layer.

I will say it looks on par with the Klasse twins, all the Zaino steps is kind of tiring for my fingers

I'm just a weekend warrior, not where on par with Scottwax:bow i do own a PC7424.

Nice gloss! You'll love the beading (the water spots not so much). Beautiful garage floor, BTW.

:thx

the garage floor is U-coat it, it's about 2.5 years old and holding up well.

Looks good!

Tip for you - mist your applicator with Z6 and then put your Z5 or Z2 on the pad, it really helps you put on thin coats and it spreads nicely.

yep, i always do that even when i used klasse and menzerna :xyxthumbs

btw, Annapolis is an awesome city!

Zaino makes excellent show car polishes. I've been so happy with Z-AIO and Z-CS, I don't even keep Z-2 and Z-5 on my shelf anymore.

In terms of looks, Zaino blows Klasse out of the water. But then again, it's not hard to beat the Klasse Twins anymore.

Looks good! How come there are so many steps with Zaino? Is it worth it over Klasse? (which I now find pretty easy to apply)

I like the garage floor as well!

honestly, i am kinda torn - i always like to try new stuff and zaino has always been a huge curiosity for the past several years as i spent over $200, no regrets.

the Z6 step is just a QD between layers which takes about 5 minutes - no biggie. i do love the hard candy look of klasse, my bmw originally had about a dozen layers :getdown

here's a somewhat better pic of the floor, it took 3 days to complete and was a PITA, but it was fun to learn :bigups

Looks Good! BTW, how you like the 335i coupe? I love the way it looks, but never driven one. I really like the way our X5 handles (compared to other SUV) so I'm thinking the 335i should be like a magnet on the pavement ;)

The 335i is sweet, I love the styling and the handling. It also responds well to the JB3 tune, exhaust and dual cone intake.

I have the epoxy floor kit sitting in the garage, I just need a weekend to do it!

Don't be alarmed by the zaino steps. It really isn't any more steps than you're typical system considering you will usually do an IPA widedown or DQ between coats of your LSP.

As per Zaino vs. Klasse, in my opinion, it's like comparing apples and oranges. Klasse AIO is a solid 1 step but the KSG is a major PITA do work. Zaino wipes off like butter and, to my eyes, has a lot more going on.

I don't know, I used to do the Z2 stuff with the accelerator drops (I can't remember exact names of this stuff). I agree it did buff off very easily. I actually started using it after having a bad experience with Klasse SG once. Well the Z2 ran out and the SG had been on the shelf for a few years so I got that stuff back down yesterday and honestly I really think it does a lot more for my red paint than the Zaino did. Yeah to me the Zaino stuff I read of people and all their steps, Z3 followed by Z this and Z that and I'm thinking my god I just want to apply one thing, I don't have the money for all these different Z's. So SG it is for me now that I've figured out the right way to apply it.

Were you using the older (not pro) stuff? As in Z2 + Z5, not Z2pro and Z5pro?

If so, you owe it to yourself to check out the new stuff.. It's got a pretty improved look over the old stuff, in my opinion. To my eyes, it has loads of depth, wetness, and durability (not that my eye can spot durability, of course). For red, Z5pro is amazing.

i don't have my 335i coupe yet, its ETA from Germany is 5-31-09. the one pictured is my 330i sedan - the 335i is going to be black sapphire, i'm a glutton for punishment for ordering a black car - but it looks so nice :woot2:

Nice job man.

Did you get the Zaino at Buckeye Nissan?

i almost did - but i was lazy to drive out from new albany to hilliard, so i just ordered online - i actually ended up saving a WHOLE $2!! :werd: but i got 4 free cotton applicators with the order and a lame Zaino sticker:think2

i am going to buckeye to pick up another Z-6 and Z-8, love that stuff!

I see - I was looking at your sig. Enjoy your new ride

I love black, but you better put a lot of Zaino or Klasse! ;)

just like detailing - prep is very important! use muratic acid for etching and simple green for cleaning- i even rented a power scrubber from home depot. the u-coat it system requires 2 base coats and 1 clear coat.

here it was all finished, i then painted the cinder blocks black and added garage cabinets - but the shine was incredible!

good luck! :xyxthumbs
