<strong class='bbc'>Water will bead on an unwaxed healthy clearcoat. If this is the case it is hard to tell when the water beading stops due to the sealant degrading. My dad's caddy is a 1990 and sheets water when the bare clear coat is exposed. When it beads water for a wash or two and then goes to sheeting it makes me wonder, and you can see my concern. Shine is still good though. [/b]</blockquote>
Good point. So, to add to your data collection, I will say that on the Maxima, which has had just AIOx2, KSGx2 for three months, I still have significant "protection" beading. You're correct, the paint did bead slightly when it was unprotected (I used several applications of SMR to remove swirls, over a few days, and dealt with rain on one of them, so I've seen it with bare clearcoat in the rain). But it was big, gloppy beading (gloppy being a technical term)
Just drove it a couple days ago in the rain, still get a lot of beading just like I did after the Klasse was applied, and the water flies off when the car is moving, like it's electrified or something...
IMHO, the best testing will be on your one car, since there are so many variables with paint, etc. Maybe the Klasse just doesn't like the color?
So, if Klasse doesn't "keep a bead" on that particular car, stick with the Zaino. But don't paint Klasse in general terms as not providing beading after a couple weeks, because most folks don't seem to be having that problem.
