I am Frustrated

One of my fears just called today. He said I got your card and have a black BMW 540, what do you do...blah blah. Anyway we get to chatting and he said- do you do dent removal? I bought the Wurth MDL two weeks ago and have not been able to get it to work. I had to tell him no and he said ok, I'll just have it detailed at the PDR place, thanks anyway.

Have any of you MDL guys gotten yours to work to your expectations? I called the Wurth rep and talked to him and said he was going to call me back on Saturday...never did.

What I will do it recommend a PDR shop and suggest they get the dent repairs done first and then have me detail it. That way, you've given them a good recommendation, and also advice that they get the PDR done first so your detail work does not get messed up. It tends to obligate them to you. It usually works, not always though.

It has worked for me. As I mentioned in an earlier post, it's like a surgeon who screens his patients well before deciding on a specific procedure. It works for me, but only in some situations.

I've improved 3 or 4 dents by 80% or so, but that is not meeting anybody's expectations...

I have a pro who comes to the shop (with all the tools and lights, etc.) to address the more complicated issues.

My question is how long will it take me to recover the cost of the tool at this rate?

I'm a patient man.

You may want to approach a PDR guy and work out a deal with him. You could refer all your PDR work to him and he do the same for you concerning details. That way if you do get any PDR jobs you could say yes, I have someone that does that. You would be subcontracting. Just make sure the PDR guy is reputable and does good work.
