I also did the unthinkable...

Well, the wife's leased Terrain doesn't get as much as my car. We work opposite schedules and I travel a lot. Today it was getting some love....

Full wash along with a complete wheel and tire cleaning. Used mothers foaming wheel and tire cleaner. I continue to be impressed by this product. Not harsh, but cleans well.

Once all of that was done, I was pressed for time. So, I used....Nu Finish. Then, the world ended. Seriously, it needed an AIO, and I figured I would use this terrible product. ;). While it doesn't have much, if any, correction ability, it did clean well.

Finish is a little bright, but slick and well protected, from my previous experience.

I'm impressed enough to try it on my dd for winter, but maybe add a nice layer of a good looking wax on top of it...any suggestions? :).

Flame away!

OneQuickGT1- No flames regarding Nu Finish from me..if it works for you then that's all that matters IMO.

Eh, I doubt that I'd top it, I'd rather spend the time/effort using the Nu Finish again when it really needs something.  But then it seems like I'm always telling you to not go all Autopian about stuff :o

Lol. Always good advice. Took the Terrain out today. It actually looks pretty darn good. I've noticed NF definitely looks better after about 12 hours. I think ill throw another coat on next week.

Before you go "layering" the NF, give some thought to how it works.  No point in just "cleaning off the prior application with this new application", at least not after just a week or so.  Heh heh, I'd save up the time/effort and do it closer to winter.  Then you might try the topper idea to get you through the nasty months.

<p style="margin-left:40px;">NF suggests waiting 30 days to layer.  I'll do that, wait a week, and then throw either 26 or 845 on there, I think.  Good points, you make, as always.

That official recommendation of waiting 30 days to layer makes me get all cynical and wonder if it'd truly be layering at that point or merely replacing   But either way it'd be nicely refreshed...

Well, I have some experience with NF in the past.  I used it a couple of years ago, as the cold weather snuck up on me and I had to improvise with what was available to me.  I'm confident that the second coat is more for complete coverage.  However, it COULD remove a little of the first coat, but more than anything it builds a bit.

Based on my experience with NF on paint and wheels, it lasts at least 3-4 months, which is pretty decent.  However, I've used meg's ultimate paste and seen the same, plus UPW looks better..IMO.

someone gave me a can as a gift. I couldn't bring myself to use it on my car, so I waxed my shiny red push mower with it. it looks nice, although I will admit it has some swirls from me using a broom to sweep the grass of it :)
