Hunger Games?

So tonight I was at a theater and fell into the trap. I bought a ticket to the 12:05 AM showing on Friday morning. My

girlfriend wants to see it with her friend (not me because I didn't read the book). SOOOOOOO, I will see it before her. :D:D Anyone else going to the early show? Anyone else even going to see it? Anyone care? :yay:yayJust Curious. To be honest, I haven't stayed up that late in a while, I may fall asleep. If you happen to sit next to me and I fall asleep, please resist the

urge to dip my hand in warm water.

The book was great for sure. The book is so popular in my school that they set up a huge field trip for it. $2.50 off regular ticket price. I couldn't resist. I'm seeing the 9:00 am showing.

Just finished the second book and am starting the third. I love these books! Great read, and I don't even read that much anymore. I will definitely be going to see this movie, probably after I get back from Detail Fest.

I usually dislike reading very much, but these books rock. The second one is definitely the best one in my opinion. The third seemed to drag on for so long and I never finished it.

I just heard about them for the first time a few days ago, apparently they're very popular! Seems like a guy version of Twilight.

I won't start another thread for this one, but I saw Casablanca for the first time at Cinemark tonight. TCM did a one night showing. Anyone go to that? Picture of the year, 1943.

"We'll always have Paris"

Thats funny... My wife and I just saw Casablanca as well... Got it from the library.

Well it is 3AM and I am just back from the flic. I give Hunger Games 3.5 out of 5 cheeseburgers. I found it entertaining but I am hesitant to rate it higher lest I turn into one of the hundreds of pre-teen girls standing in line with me. What was I thinking?

Zzzzzzzzzzz

I felt like it might turn into one of those. I heard from some friends that went to the midnight showing that they still don't know what the Hunger Games is. They just went to see the actor playing Peeta. :wall

Hmmmm, I have to say that I didn't really rate the books all that highly. The story had potential, but the writing itself wasn't all that good, and the main character was, for me, rather unsympathetic. Of course, I did read it right after Brandon Sanderson's The Way of Kings, which might have cast the series in a less than salutary light.

Im with those behind the times as well. Did not know it was a series of books until I saw something about it in CNN yesterday.

Wont go see it though. Not the movie I want to spend $13 a ticket on.

Holy Crap! $13? Where do you live? $9.50 for me.

Casablanca was $12.50 for some screwy reason, special showing I guess.
