My buddy finally brought back his black F250 FX4 Supercrew after 10 months since we last detailed it. It's black and a daily driver, so you can believe it had a fair amount of normal spider webbing. This truck is a beast, it's so high you need a step ladder to reach the roof and a platform to even reach the middle of the hood so it really slows you down. We didn't have time for a full multi-step correction, so I thought I'd dust off the Hi Temp HT-61 Paint Perfection Glaze that has been sitting on my shelf. Since I'd gotten a bottle of PoliSeal I'd kind of fogotten about how well HT-61 corrects for a 1-stepper.
My memory was that HT-61 had more correction than PoliSeal, and after a trial spot using the PC and a LC orange pad, we were both thoroughly impressed how well the spider webbing cleaned up. Sure, the deeper stuff remained, but for a 1-stepper it really did a decent job of knocking out a majority of the spider-webbing and bringing back the gloss.
We were finished early enough to even throw a coat of EX on there for increased durability and shine.
The next time you're asked to do a 1-stepper and the paint needs more correction than something like PoliSeal can accomplish, I think you'll be pleasanlty surprised if you give HT-61 a try.
